The Guncles are proud dads of their newest arrival Boz who’s full name is Bosley Jo Masterson-Horn. Already at 5 months, Boz has become a wonderful addition to the Masterson-Horn family.
We decided to give scoop on Baby Boz’s nursery to our fans. We love to follow The Guncles on Facebook to watch their family grow. (I mean, who doesn’t?) The Guncles have given us a sneak peek into little Boz’s nursery. It’s very contemporary and blue and we can’t help but awe over it.
“We discussed many, many themes, but we didn’t want to duplicate someone else’s look and we didn’t want to pick a current trend. We were searching cool wallpapers online and came across this amazing medieval castle and dragons design from Paper Boy London. We had the wallpaper and some of the matching fabric shipped States side and the whole look of the room came together from there. Boz loves to stare at the wallpaper.”
“We painted the one book wall the same dark blue color of the castles and dragons in the wallpaper. We had the other two walls painted a very, very pale blue to match the background of the paper and serve as a slight contract to room’s moldings, shutters, and stark white ceiling.”
Stokke Baby Sleepi Crib – “We love the Sleepi crib – in its bassinet form in the pictures. It’s on wheels, so it can easily be wheeled anywhere in the room or in the house. As the Mini bassinet, it fit nicely next to our bed for late night feedings.”
Duc Duc Regency 4 drawer dresser – “We are obsessed with this custom made duc duc Regency 4 drawer dresser & changer. We really wanted a piece in blue to tie in the wallpaper. And the dresser is so well made we know we’ll have the piece forever.”
Silhouette Upholstered Daybed – the first piece of furniture for the room. “With Boz moving into our only guest room, we needed an extra place for guests to stay and for late night feedings.”
Straight and Narrow Book Ledges – “We painted the one wall a blue we matched with the figures in the wallpaper. And then we got 8 of the Land of Nod Straight and Narrow Bookledges in white so we could display tons of Boz’s new and antique books. Lots being about Dragons.”
Honeycomb Wall Shelf – in blue to hold knick knacks, and a sound machine.
Fisher Price castle – when we were looking for items to fill up the room, Bill remembered having a Fisher Price castle as a kid. He loved it so we bought one on ebay.
Rug – a Homegoods find
Little Giraffe pillows and blankets
Mobile – Scout found on Etsy and had it custom made with the letter “B”
Floor lamp -An old brass candle stick – presumably from a church. We had it made into a lamp.
Aden + Anais – Change Cover
Initial Pillow – To personalize the room (Etsy)
The wall sconce was a Long Beach Flea Market find. Originally an outdoor light that we had rewired. The art that hangs on each side are both antique store purchases.
